When you have indications that you have a complex gynecologic condition, but regular testing or imaging is not providing enough information, you may need to have minimally invasive surgery. Instead of performing the traditional open surgery where a long incision is made across the abdomen, our experienced OBGYNs at Essential Women's Health Associates can offer a less invasive technique. If you need a consultation from one of our board-certified or board-eligible OBGYNs, we have appointments at our Las Vegas and Henderson, NV offices for your convenience.
You may have symptoms, such as:
- Abnormal menstrual cycle (with heavy flow and excessive cramping)
- Cervical or ovarian cancer
- Chronic or acute pelvic pain
- Pelvic floor disorder or prolapse
- Uterine growths
When other diagnostic tools or nonsurgical treatments have been tried and not successful, we can offer you minimally invasive procedures, like ablation, laparoscopy, hysterectomy, myomectomy, da Vinci® robotic-assisted procedures, and more at our practice. These interventions produce fewer scars, heal in less time, and can give you back your quality of life once you have healed. Schedule an appointment with our team to discover your options in (diagnostic or operative) minimally invasive surgeries.

"Awesome doctor. My other doctors recommended a hysterectomy for back trouble I was having, she examined me and discovered this was NOT the problem. She kept me from an unnecessary and painful surgery. Great doctor. When we discovered a REAL female problem I was having she did my surgery with care and confidence (even providing pictures). I recovered quickly and I would highly recommend her. Best doctor ever. Very caring and funny too. Her bedside manner puts you at ease and she inspires your confidence and trust in her."- G.O. / Google / Jun 06, 2019
Minimally Invasive Surgery Ideal Candidates
Essential Women's Health Associates' OBGYNs can test or treat with minimally invasive surgery for women who have acute or chronic pelvic pain, aggressive endometriosis, pelvic prolapse, heavy period flow, uterine growths, cysts, and fibroids. Candidates may have tried to treat their conditions with no success. Your gynecological symptoms may no longer be manageable with current treatment options. The next step is to let our OBGYNs diagnose and treat these conditions with minimally invasive techniques.
Minimally Invasive Surgery Treatment Techniques
Our OBGYNs at Essential Women's Health Associates are experts in the following minimally invasive surgeries:
- Total laparoscopic hysterectomy
- Endometrial ablation
- Hysteroscopic myomectomy
- Laparoscopic myomectomy
- Vaginal hysterectomy
- da Vinci robotic-supported procedures
- Hysteroscopic sterilization
You may have your treatment in our office or at a local surgical facility or hospital where our OBGYNs have medical privileges.
Minimally Invasive Surgery Other Considerations
For our patients' convenience, we offer several gynecologic surgical procedures, such as endometrial ablation for heavy bleeding and sterilization in our office. We have specific minimally invasive procedures that are performed with local anesthetics and are well tolerated by patients, like Essure® tubal sterilization, NovaSure® or ThermaChoice® endometrial ablation, and diagnostic hysteroscopy.
When Less Is More
Small-to-no incision made during a procedure is ideal for anyone who needs a diagnostic or operative surgery. Women, like you, can greatly benefit from minimally invasive gynecological surgery instead of traditional open abdominal surgeries with large scars. Find out more from our OBGYNs in a private consultation at our Las Vegas or Henderson, NV office of Essential Women's Health Associates. We feel very fortunate to be able to offer minimally invasive surgeries to our patients as a part of comprehensive care.
